After reading Chapter 3, I felt that very little of it applied to the creative use of technology in classrooms. In fact, the example lesson plan refereneces the use of photocopiers as technology. Did I miss something? Please let me know if you agree OR if you disagree, share the useful idea you acquired in this chapter that applies to using current technology creatively!
Thanks!!
I did not find the chapter especially helpful for the technology aspect of the classroom. It felt like there was too much informatin that we have had from other classes.
ReplyDeleteDefinately thought the technology in the book could be more current. Although in some schools the newer technologies may not be accesible to the teachers or the students. Being able to adapt to those situations and still be creative and engaging is important regardless of fancy technologies. They should be used as a tool to aid in teaching not the main focus.
ReplyDeleteWe need to go back to the mimeograph machines!!
ReplyDeleteThe idea of lesson planning discussed in this chapter is exactly what I now feel is the way to go for all teachers. The thing is, in this chapter, all the stuff is theoretical and abstract; but, it's what teachers need to be doing. It's the actual doing of it which is the trick, and you have to start getting specific and concrete in that case. That takes you way out of chapter 3.
